Breakfast in Bethal

Good morning all! Nice and cool in Bethal this morning, and we've had the priviledge of enjoying a relaxed breakfast with Wilco Uys, Director of Operations BHP Billiton Energy Coal South Africa. We enjoyed the company and would like to thank Wilco for taking a moment out of his busy schedule to meet with us as well as the donation we recived from BECSA as our main sponsor of R75 000.

This will go along way towards the Sunflower Fund in growing the South African Bone Marrow Registry and increrasing the odds of a blood cancer patient finding a matching donor.

Background on the Fundraising Event

Three Members of Round Table Southern Africa will be running approximately 350 Miles4Marrow in March 2010, with the aim to raise in excess of ½ million Rand in aid of those suffering with Leukaemia.

Following a route starting in the Lowveld city of Nelspruit, the runners run in relay (and together on shorter days) and wind their way uphill and over the Mpumalanga Escarpment, through the Highveld, then pass through Pretoria and end on The Melrose Arch Piazza.

You may wonder why?
